Since 2020, Austin-based artist Matt Lynaugh has been focusing on landscapes. Matt sketches on site, capturing the space between the natural landscape and abstract shapes. Returning to the studio, he works to blend the graphic elements he sees into his paintings.

Before retiring Lynaugh and his wife Gloria Lee, ran a graphic design studio, Buds Design Kitchen, working with clients including Whole Foods Market, HEB, KUT and host of others.

Lynaugh holds an MFA from Yale School of Art and a BFA from SUNY New Paltz.
