The kid kind of looks like an elf in this.
Work has been pretty intense for the last month but I think I can really get back to painting again. I would like to start a new series of paintings… thus far I am grabbing my iPad and painting whatever, however. So now the search for a new series to do, which leads to this post. Maybe doing portraits that are stripped down to minimal elements and limited color.
I bet you noticed. This is photo that have manipulated with my new fav photo editor app, Repix. This is app is awesome! Mason sent some photos from his trip over in France and so I was playing with them. Can’t wait to see the bugger back here at home.
It is nice to be home again… Mason was practicing on his cello so I took the opportunity to draw.
The kid is happy that he has a phone that can send text messages. Welcome to this modern day and age kid.
I keep going back this photo reference of Mason and trying to make something good out it. Missed again. Oh well.
Here is another portrait using the import feature that I used yesterday. This time using a photo that Masons buddy Abe took.
Our fine boy Mason would like to do everything clad only in his boxers. Here, he is shown practicing on his cello.
Actually, this should be titled, ‘Mason at the Doctor’s office thinking about the Dark Knight Rises, non-stop…’ His rash is now under control.
What is the definition of a dresser?
Flashing the money, well, paycheck. Nicely done kid.
The young man at home (actually he was doing dishes).
Gloria snapped a photo of Izze on Masons shoulders. Bonded they are...
The kid has grown into a young man, filling the hallway door into the living room.
The love power of the Mason overwhelms the Zombie Kitty.
I was working from a pretty crudy photo, but I really wanted to do my daily painting of our boys. They are pretty awesome young men. Not that this painting reveals any of that :)
At Mason’s piano lesson.
The young lad listening to some tunes.
I was trying to catch some of the light morning light into our bedroom. Mason had appropriated our bed to catch up on our Lost watching (we are into the fourth season now).
The boys enjoy the card game Magic the Gathering (MoG). Mason asked if we could customize some of the cards because it is pretty cool to play with custom cards and could be a fun father & son activity. Sweet, here are the first couple cards. Using oil but may need to switch to acrylic.
