I don’t spend enough time using Sketchbook Pro. It is a really powerful app that crosses all the platforms and even is available on all the desktop machines. This is basically sitting down with a beer and making marks to see where they lead.

Drawing on the Plane

I read the Procreate manual on my flight home from Chicago and really enjoyed it. The Savage team did a great job on it. Procreate is a very rich environment to work in. I definitely need to spend more time using this app.

Abstract #7 2012-02-18 (01.29PM)
Just continuing to play with the ability to lock down an alpha channel in Procreate and paint inside it. Quite fun. Limiting myself to three colors and seeing what happens. Simpler seems better to me, so the top one is kind nice. But, overall I like the energy I can get with a certain brush (it does not have a name so I don’t know how to refer to it).

Can you tell that I was tired painting this. Crazy day with a sick kid. I won’t be posting for a week (but will be painting) as I am going to Frankfurt to demo the sensu brush using my ipad. Should be fun.

Abstract [BO]

flexible
I am trying to catch up on my paintings. Feels good to be pushing the stuff across the panels again! We are a bit addicted to the Battlestar Galactia series and have been watching two or three episodes a night. One of the main characters, Starbuck, did some paintings on her apartment wall. These paintings tie into her... wait for it... *destiny*. Anyway, they are nice abstract images. This is not that image, but I did think about it while painting this. I also thought about two tall glasses of beer, viewed from overhead, on two tables abutted to each other. So, maybe I should call it BO (beer overhead).
